BIZKAIGANE: BASERRI BAT BAINO GEHIAGO!

BIZKAIGANE: BASERRI BAT BAINO GEHIAGO

Azken urteotan bezala DBH 3. mailako ikasleak Errigoitin dagoen Bizkaigane baserrira joan dira. Social Sciences arloan sektoreak aztertu ditugu, eta bereziki enpresa jasangarri bat zelan martxan ipini.

Bizkaigane baserria komunitatean sustraituta dagoen kooperatiba da. Janari ekologikoa ekoizten du, gazta bereziki. Zazpi langilek lan egiten dute bertan , eta baserria baino, proiektu soziala da. Ez dizkiote hornitzaile anonimoei saltzen euren produktuak eta egunero izaten dute kontaktu zuzena euren bezeroekin eskualdeko azoketan.

Bisitaren amaieran hainbat gazta dastatu eta erosi dituzte ikasleek. Bertako langileen esanetan, gure ikasleek merezi dute, beti interesa erakusten baitute eta txalotzeko moduko portaera izaten baitute! Gurasoak ere animatu dira gazta erosten, eta eskertzekoa da, honelako proiektuek gure babesa merezi  baitute. Klima larrialdiak gure kontsumo ohituren gainean hausnarketa bat egitea eskatzen digu, eta bertoko ekoizleak sustengatzeko “0 Kilometro” produktuen aldeko apustu bat egitea! Eskerrik asko guztioi!

For the last few years, 4th Form (DBH3)  students have visited the Bizkaigane farm in Errigoiti. In  Social Sciences we take a look at the sectors, and we especially look at what makes a business sustainable.

Bizkaigane farm is a cooperative rooted in the community. It produces organic food, especially cheese. Seven workers work there, and it is a social project more than just a farm, it is a social project. They do not sell their products to some anonymous supplier, instead they have a direct contact with their customers every day at regional fairs.

At the end of the visit, the students had a chance to taste and buy various cheeses. In the words of the workers there they really deserved it as our pupils always show a real interest as well as being well-behaved. The kids also bought cheese for their parents, and we are grateful for that as such projects definitely deserve our support. But more particularly today the climate  emergency requires us to reflect on our consumer habits and to make a commitment to buying 0 Kilometre products and to supporting our local producers! Thanks a lot to all of you!
