GARAPEN IRAUNKORRERAKO 5. HELBURUA: GENERO BERDINTASUNA

ESKOLA AGENDA 2030.  Garapen Iraunkorrerako 5. Helburua: Genero berdintasuna

Otsailaren 10ean, DBH 3. mailako laukote batek Emakume Nazioarteko Eguna Zientzian parte hartu zuen Nerbioi-Ibaizabal-eko Udal Taldeak eta Ortzadar Garapen Iraunkorraren aldeko gizarte enpresak antolatututako emakumeen ahalduntze jardunaldian. Zoritxarrez, egungo egoera dela eta, “online” egin behar izan zen baina, hala eta guztiz ere, gure ikasleentzako oso interesgarria izan zen eta ekarpen baliogarriak egin zituzten.

Egia da aurrera pauso asko eman dela, baina oraindik ezin daiteke esan genero berdintasuna errealitea denik, garapen-bidean daudeneko zenbait herritan, batik bat. Hemen ere, zaintza lanak batez ere emakumeen ardura direla argi dago, baita  bertoko enpresetan goi-mailako kargodun emakumeen ehunekoa oso txikia dela ere. Beraz, oraindik badago zer egiterik, eta datozen asteetan gure ikasleek sentsibilizazio-lanari ekingo diote martxoaren 8a aurkezteko asmoz. Eskerrik asko antolatzaileei eta parte hartu duten guztiei!

On the 10th of February, International Women's Day in Science, a group of 4th Form students took part in a women's empowerment day organized by the Nerbioi-Ibaizabal Udal Taldea and the Sustainable Development agency, Ortzadar. Unfortunately, due to the present situation, it had to be done “online” but our students found it very interesting and they made valuable contributions.

It is true to say that a lot of progress has been made to empower women but we still cannot say that gender equality is a reality, especially in some developing countries. But here too, it is clear that the care sector is mostly the responsibility of women and only a very small percentage of women have a high-level position in business companies here. So there is still much work to be done, and in the coming weeks our students will be working on raising awareness in the weeks coming up to the 8th March. Thanks to the organizers and to  everyone who participated!
